Welcome.

My background is varied but always creative and entrepreneurial. After a stint in the corporate world, I realized being my own boss is much more fun. Since 2000, I’ve started two design businesses, co-founded and ran an arts nonprofit, and launched another redevelopment nonprofit focused on rehabilitating historic properties.

In 2020, I decided it was time to hand off the nonprofit and pursue a new path. Falling back on my extensive experience, I’ve begun again working as an independent designer, focusing mainly on the publishing industry.

Embracing big changes, I changed my name from Tammy Ackerman to Tamsyn Bodwell when I married in 2024, and not stopping there, in 2026 rebranded my design work in my own name Tamsyn Bodwell, shelving Mill Pond Creative.
